Casa Bollullo is in one of the most beautiful areas of Tenerife: El Rincón. Hidden away in a banana plantation you can enjoy a quiet and relaxing holiday away from the main tourist resorts. The road leading to the Casa Bollullo winds through the plantations. The cottage itself is built on a 500sq. m. plot of land and is surrounded by fruit trees and exotic plants.
On entering the house there is a large dining and kitchen area which measures approximately 30m2. The circular shape and the soft yellow walls give the room a warm and inviting atmosphere.
In the living room there is a comfortable sofa, coffee table and several chairs. Table lamps and floral art prints give the room a homely feeling.
The Satellite TV provides entertainment – you can watch nearly
all the German channels.
At the back of the cottage there is a light and modern kitchenette. There is everything you need to cook a tasty meal - an oven, ceramic hot plate, fridge and a large freezer. Of course there is a coffee maker, toaster and towels as well as crockery and cutlery.
The tiled dining table with its four white wooden chairs are just some details which contribute to the rural charm of Casa Bollullo.
Just a few steps up natural grey stone stairs are the two bedrooms and the bathrooms.
The largest bedroom measures 15 m⊃2; - it has a double bed (180x200), two bedside cabinets with lamps and a hanging space for clothes along one wall.
The second bedroom has two single beds (90x200) which can be pushed together on request. There are two bedside cabinets with lamps and a large wardrobe.
A special feature of the bedrooms is the high ceilings. You can catch the first rays of sun through the round windows. Both rooms are painted in the same warm yellow colour as the living room.
One of the two bathrooms has a door into the larger bedroom. It has a bath with shower, wash basin and toilet.
The second bathroom has a shower, wash basin and toilet, it is accessed from the hallway. There is also a washing machine which can be used free of charge.
Although there is no natural light both of the bathrooms are pleasantly bright due to the mosaic design ceramic tiles. Of course, we will provide you with plenty of bathroom towels but please bring your own beach towel.
The dining area leads onto the front patio where you can sit and relax in the garden furniture. From here you can enjoy both the view across the ocean and the sweet smell of the flowers which the owner has lovingly planted.
Up the steps to the first floor there is another terrace (approximately 25 m⊃2;). It is also furnished and has two sun loungers. This terrace, which is higher than the patio, offers an impressive panoramic view of the El Rincón area with its banana plantations and, of course, the Atlantic Ocean.
The surroundings
The cottage has the same name as the nearby beach called Playa Bollullo. You can walk down to it through the plantations. This black sand beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the North and it is very popular with local people, although it is never crowded as it can only be reached by foot. The footpath passes by the Bollullo Restaurant, which specialises in fish and typical Canarian dishes.
It takes just a few minutes to get to Puerto de la Cruz by car – this is the main tourist resort in the North of Tenerife. There you can find numerous supermarkets, restaurants and lots of leisure activities as well as the famous Loro Parque. If you are feeling energetic you can take the costal footpath to Puerto. It takes about 45 minutes to La Paz, the upper part of Puerto where you can visit the Botanical Garden. We can guarantee that you will have impressive views of El Rincón and the ocean.
